While we won't be seeing Illidan's warglaives in the Burning Crusade Classic for a while yet, we can take a look at their real life version right now, as Blizzard actually commissioned well known prop builders Hench & Scrap Foundry to make a pair!

This wasn't the first time Hench & Scrap took a swing at WoW, as there are plenty of Covenant weapons they made for Shadowlands (which we'll check out below as well). The glaives themselves are actually pretty huge, at 1.8m long, are actually gilded with 24-carat gold and, obviously, have some heavy-duty LED projectors inside, so take a look!

This particular project was commissioned by the Australia and New Zealand Blizzard branch, so thanks go them! And here are a few more facts from the creators as well:

So, we've spent the past month building these utterly insane Twin Blades of Azzinoth from World of Warcraft for Blizzard ANZ to celebrate the upcoming release of Burning Crusade Classic!

Some fun facts:
- They’re taller than Hench (they’re 1.8m/5’9” long!)
- Each blade had a galaxy projector built into it, which gives them that rippling fel energy effect!
- They’re hand gilded in real 24kt gold, and it took 140 sheets to gild everything
- We made an enormous blade mold and slush cast them in translucent resin

Here are a few more WoW weapons to check out, this time Shadowlands related:
