As of the latest Patch 9.2.5 Build 43519, the servers now run Shadowlands Season 3, suggesting we may see the update go live before Shadowlands Season 4.
Up until this week's Patch 9.2.5 build, the active season available for testing was Shadowlands Season 4. It included the increased item levels of rewards and Great Vault loot.
However, this week's Patch 9.2.5 build switched off Season 4 and the active season is now Season 3 again on the PTR with old item levels, which means the patch will likely not be tied to the beginning of Season 4 and may release sooner than we had originally anticipated.
