Mongolian Esports Association (MESA) has been named the official Asian Qualifier organizer and the Mongolian language broadcast partner for this year’s BLAST Premier circuit, the organizer announced on January 27.

MESA has announced that it has struck a partnership with BLAST Premier to host the Asian qualifiers for the Spring and Fall edition as well as serve as the circuit’s official Mongolian language broadcast partner in 2022.

Hailing from Denmark, BLAST is one of the biggest esports tournament organizers, mainly focusing on Counter-Strike: Global Offensive. BLAST Premier Fall Finals 2021 was CS:GO’s second arena event with a live audience since February 2020, just before the COVID-19 pandemic started to impact major esports events worldwide. The event took place from November 23-28, 2021, with more than thousands of spectators in attendance at Copenhagen’s iconic Royal Arena.

Established in 2003, the Mongolian Esports Association (MESA) has been affiliated with a number of esports federations across the world, including the International Esports Federation (IESF), Global Esports Federation, Asian Electronic Sports Federation (AESF), and World Esports Consortium.

In July last year, MESA has also put ink on paper with The Esports Integrity Commission (ESIC), showing a strong commitment to combating fraud, corruption, and cheating scandals in the Mongolian esports industry. According to the press release, MESA hopes to establish a long-term relationship with the Danish-based tournament organizer for years ahead.

MESA’s deal, besides the official Mongolian language broadcast partner, includes the right to organize the Asian Qualifiers for BLAST Premier Spring and Fall.

Its most recent league, MESA League Season 2, will award victors a seat in the upcoming BLAST Premier Spring Showdown Asian Qualifier. Additional information on the Asian Qualifier will be released in the near future.
