Miley Cyrus has made a surprising admission about her feelings regarding ex-husband Liam Hemsworth.
In a candid interview with Howard Stern's SiriusXM radio show, the singer revealed she still has feelings for the Aussie actor, despite going their separate ways in August 2019 after just eight months of marriage.
She also said they likely would not have gotten married had it not been for the Southern California fires that engulfed their Malibu home in November 2018 and burned down all their possessions. The couple married just one month later.
"I don't know if we ever really thought we were actually going to get married," 28-year-old Cyrus told Stern on the Wednesday broadcast. "Me being an intense person and not wanting to sit with it and not wanting to go, you know, 'What could be purposeful about this?' I just clung to what I had left of that house, which was me and him, and I really do and did love him very, very, very much, and still do, always will."
But Cyrus said she and 30-year-old Hemsworth just clashed in more ways than one, conceding that "there was too much conflict" in their relationship.
"When I come home, I want to be anchored by someone," she explained. "I don't get off on drama or fighting."

Cyrus also cleared up the misconception that she is a "free bird" who doesn't like being tied to one person. Not true, says the singer.
"I am not a free bird. I love structure. Structure keeps me safe and keeps me my best and I love to be anchored and weighted by people," she explained. "I don't want to be friends with feathers, I want you to be, like, cement for me."
And she's not particular about who she falls in love with because she is drawn to both men and women. Following her 2019 split with Hemsworth, Cyrus dated The Hills: New Beginnings star Kaitlynn Carter before moving on to Aussie singer Cody Simpson.
"I love people, I love who I love, I've had relationships with all genders and I'm down," Cyrus told Stern. "Right now I'm kind of in the mood for some D, but I'm down for whatever, honestly."
