Melissa Gilbert is feeling positive as she recovers from her fourth spinal surgery.
The former Little House on the Prairie star, 56, shared a photo from the hospital and informed fans the "surgery was wildly successful."
"Dr Bray was able to remove all the old hardware," she wrote. "Shave off bone spurs causing numbness in my right hand and, and, and, he was able to give me the artificial disc!!!"
Since 2012, Gilbert has suffered two head and neck injuries that caused two herniated discs in her spine. The actress endured a long history of neck and spinal issues prior to that.
Her first surgery was to fuse a herniated disc in 2003.
"So now I focus on recovery and remaining Covid free," she wrote. "Thank you all for your love, support and prayers. I send so much love back to you all. Happy Thanksgiving indeed!!! Love and love and love... MG #discsportandspine #artificial disc #grateful#blessed #loveiseverything."
Last week, Gilbert explained how her third spinal fusion surgery in 2016 had failed, and she'd need another one. Due to COVID-19, she "waited as long as possible" to go through with the procedure.
"I've now reached the point where the pain is nearly constant and the fingers on my right hand are beginning to tingle," Gilbert wrote.https://www.instagram.com/p/CHiX_lHFdkC/?utm_source=ig_embed&
"I'm channelling my inner Halfpint for this one," she wrote in reference to her character on Little House on the Prairie's nickname. "The one who believes anything is possible. The one with courage and moxie to spare!! Everyone stay safe, stay healthy, stay strong. And if you have an extra prayer or two, please send them my way."

In 2016, Gilbert opened up about the horrific ordeal where a balcony of a house fell over her head. Prior to that, she'd endured a bad fall on Dancing with the Stars.
"I was standing under the back balcony talking to my kids and it detached from the house and it collapsed on my head," she told People. "I ended up with a concussion and stitches in my head and it compressed two healthy discs in my neck."
