As a matter of fact, the entrepreneur actually owns 21 peacocks — and so she corrected the report.
"The nypost again 'fake news'," she tweeted. "They have a story on peacocks today and say I have sixteen on my farm I actually have 21 of these glorious birds whose house is impeccable. They do not smell. They are so clean! Their voices are loud but such fun to hear. They are so friendly."https://twitter.com/MarthaStewart/status/1393925677372559362https://twitter.com/MarthaStewart/status/1393927567607017474
"Sean Flynn's new book Why Peacocks is reviewed in the @nypost today," she added. "He sounds like a very nice bird lover and he understands the lore and beauty of this beautiful breed of bird. Congratulations mr Flynn!!!"
The New York Post has since amended its report to include a correct count of Stewart's peacocks, which she has been quite vocal about in recent years.

"Editors note: This story originally reported that Martha Stewart has 16 peacocks," the clarification reads at the end of the article. "Stewart clarified via Twitter that she actually has 21 "glorious" and impeccably clean peacocks."
In a blog post from March, Stewart describes in detail the variety of birds living on her property and their mating habits.
"I visit these beautiful birds every day. I love calling out to them and waiting for their energetic responses," she wrote in another blog post. "My peacocks are doing exceptionally well and remain active, curious, and very, very vocal."https://www.instagram.com/p/COysWIfgz3a/
Back in 2019, the Martha Bakes star told Town & Country about the hundreds of pets and animals she owns on her farm, explaining that she definitely has her hands full.
"They all take a tremendous amount of care because you have to keep them clean, and fed, and happy," she told the magazine at the time. "I don't think I'm going to get too many animals in the near future."
