Liam Neeson just surprised frontline workers with flowers at an Aussie hospital, and as if we needed another reason to love the Irish actor.

The 68-year-old is currently busy filming his new Hollywood blockbuster, Blacklight, in Melbourne, but he's taken time out to send the nursing staff at The Royal Melbourne Hospital his gratitude for keeping him and the city safe amid the coronavirus pandemic.

"To all you lovely Aussie and Irish nurses. Thinking of you all. Much love and respect, Liam Neeson," read a handwritten note sent along with the flowers.

Naturally, the nurses were delighted over the gesture and shared images of the surprise package on the hospital's official Facebook page.

"I will find you...and I will...treat you," they playfully captioned the snaps, referencing Neeson's popular line from his movie, Taken.

Blacklight started filming in Melbourne last month as the strict COVID-19 restrictions were eased in the city.

Neeson first arrived in Sydney in late October and completed a mandatory two-week stint in hotel quarantine before he made the flight over to Victoria.

The movie is being directed by Mark Williams, the creative behind Netflix crime drama Ozark, and will also star Aussie actor Guy Pearce. In the film, Neeson plays a troubled fixer for the FBI who helps undercover agents out of dangerous situations, but soon he finds himself caught up in a larger-than-life conspiracy.
