Kanye West has been linked to model Candice Swanepoel with rumours the pair are now an item. But it's not all that it seems.

The pair may have appeared cosy during New York Fashion Week, but it seems their relationship is more business than anything else.

"They are together for promotional stuff for his Yeezy line. They collaborate well together and bond over fashion," a source told Us Weekly. "Anything beyond a working relationship is not true. They are not involved romantically. She's another one of his muses."

The rapper and the Victoria's Secret model sparked speculation they are an item after being spotted at an event on September 13 for West's Yeezy Gap sunglasses, of which Swanepoel is the face of the line.

At the time, the model, 33, also shared a pic of West taking a photo of her, which she later shared on Instagram Stories. 

However, other outlets are adamant West and Swanepoel are more than just collaborators, with a source telling Entertainment Tonight they are indeed "dating".

"Kanye and Candice are dating and their relationship is new," the source said. "They like each other and are happy with how things are going so far. They've connected over fashion and creativity. Kanye is excited about Candice."

Meanwhile, TMZ reported that West and Swanepoel left his Yeezy party together in the rapper's SUV and headed to the same hotel. 

Ironically, the South African model previously worked with West's estranged wife, Kim Kardashian, on a campaign for her Skims line in April.

West split from Kardashian, 41, in February 2021 and has since been linked to models Irina Shayk and Chaney Jones, as well as actress Julia Fox, who recently opened up about their breakup in February after just two months of dating.

"The unresolved issues that he was dealing with … it just seems like he had a lot to work on, and I just don't have time for it, or energy," the Uncut Gems actress told ES magazine last week.

"I don't have the bandwidth or emotional capacity for it. I'm proud of myself for that. [Before having my son, Valentino, I] would have definitely stuck it out and been there for longer," Fox added.

"It was just like, he still wants to hang out with me today, let's do it. And then real life set in and the lifestyle wasn't sustainable. I couldn't fly away once a week. And I tapped out at the first sign of a red flag."
