Neighbours star Jason Donovan is devastated at the announcement that the Aussie soap has been scrapped from UK screens after 37 years on air.
The 53-year-old famously starred as Scott Robinson on the show, who was best known for marrying Kylie Minogue's Charlene Robinson.
After the UK's Channel 5 confirmed that it will no longer air the long-running screen staple from the European summer, Donovan expressed his devastation at the news and said he hoped another channel will pick it up in the UK.

"[Neighbours] changed the Australian television landscape," Donovan wrote on Twitter late last night.
"It launched many careers over decades including mine. Engaged and entertained audiences for generations.
"Hoping that it will find a new home with another U.K. broadcaster and continue to provide opportunity and entertainment."

News broke late last night that Channel 5 was not renewing the Melbourne-based program's contract in June, which has been having barely 100,000 viewers watch the show on its Monday to Thursday slots.
When Scott married Charlene in 1987, 20 million Brits tuned in to watch the iconic couple's big day.
Filming for Neighbours has been cancelled today, and Australia's Channel 10 has said it's committed to the show but must find new backers.

In a statement to The Mirror, a spokesperson from Channel 5 said: "Neighbours will no longer air on Channel 5 beyond this summer. It's been a much-loved part of our schedule for more than a decade, and we'd like to thank the cast, Fremantle and all of the production team for their fantastic work on this iconic series.
"We'd also of course like to thank the fans for their loyal support of Neighbours across the years. We recognise that there will be disappointment about this decision, however our current focus is on increasing our investment in original UK drama, which has strong appeal for our viewers."
It's also been reported that executives are keen to bring back some of Neighbours' biggest stars, including Kylie — or perhaps Margot Robbie, Russell Crowe or Liam Hemsworth — for a special episode.
A source told The Sun: "There's a lot of disbelief and sadness among those who know it's ending. They are currently in the process of approaching a number of former cast members, including Kylie, to make a special return."
"Now it's the end, it really would be something special to have her back in Ramsay Street one last time."
