Drew Barrymore has admitted she hasn't been in an "intimate relationship" since her split from husband Will Kopelman in 2016 – and she's more than OK with that.
The actress-turned-talk-show-host opened up about her journey as a single mum in a new and "very personal story" blog post, in which she explains how her views on sex have changed now that she's 47.
"At nearly 48 I have very different feelings about intimacy than I did growing up," she wrote on her self-titled talk show's blog site. "I did not have role model parents and I engaged with people in grown-up ways since a tender age!"

When she was younger, Barrymore said she "was looking for companionship, validation, excitement, pleasure, hedonism, fun and adventure" and thought she could find by being intimate.
"After two kids and a separation from their father that has made me cautious, I have had the pleasure of shifting my focus when it comes to love for myself and my two daughters," she explained. "I know that does not include a man nor has it for a while."
Barrymore – who is mum to Olive, 10, and Frankie, eight – said that with continued therapy she has discovered that "sex is not love! It is the expression of love".
"Since entering life as a single mom, I have not been able to have an intimate relationship," she said, adding that it hasn't been a priority.
"I'm not a person who needs sex and has to go out there and engage with people on that level," she explained.

"I am someone who is deeply committed to fostering how young girls, my daughters, and myself as a woman, are supposed to function in this world!"
Last month, on an episode of The Drew Barrymore Show, the star joked with her audience that she can go "years" without having sex.
While discussing actor Andrew Garfield's comments he had been celibate for six months, Barrymore said she did not see the big deal.
At the time, the Spider-Man star had admitted on Marc Maron's podcast that he "starved" himself from sex for half a year while he was playing a priest in the 2016 film Silence.
"What's wrong with me that six months doesn't seem like a very long time?" Barrymore said.
