It's been 11 years since reality TV show The Girls Next Door took us behind closed doors of the Playboy mansion in LA, but interest still surrounds its star Holly Madison and her then-relationship with Playboy founder Hugh Hefner.
Madison gave fans exactly what they wanted this week when she shed more details on her seven-year romance with the mogul.
No topic was off-limits during her appearance on the Call Her Daddy podcast on April 7, with the 41-year-old even opening up about the "boring basic sex" they had. She also revealed she is grateful she never got pregnant with his child, despite wanting to start a family at the time.
"I knew it was because of him. I was healthy. He was just too old," she said on the podcast about conceiving. "When I had first gotten into that situation and something happened in my mind that first night I had sex, where I felt like, 'OK, I did that. I, like, breached my own boundaries and I wasn't comfortable with it. Now I have to make this situation into something.' I almost locked myself into this box."
Madison said the only way girls got to move into the Playboy mansion was if they slept with Hefner first.
For this reason, Madison — who was the founder's "No. 1 Girl" at the time — said she didn't believe fellow Girls Next Door star Kendra Wilkinson's claims she moved in without having to sleep with Hefner.
"I had to sleep with him first," Madison recalled on the podcast. "I'm not trying to slut-shame anybody or anything, but nobody ever got asked to move in unless they had slept with him."
Wilkinson has since responded to her former friend's comments, writing alongside an E! News post about the podcast, "Dude... it's 2021."
When Madison's fans came to her defence by calling Wilkinson a "hater", she replied, "How am I hating. She's [the] one out there. I'm all love now baby."
Since leaving the mansion, Wilkinson went on star in her own self-titled reality show, Kendra, and married former NFL star Hank Baskett. They split after nine years of marriage, finalising their divorce in 2018. The couple shares two children: Hank, 11, and Alijah, six.
Meanwhile, Madison also secured her own reality show, Holly's World, before marrying businessman Pasquale Rotella in 2013. They welcomed two children — daughter Rainbow, eight, and son Forest, four — before splitting in 2019.
When Hefner died in 2017, aged 91, he left behind his third wife, former Playboy playmate Crystal Harris.
