Gwyneth Paltrow has revealed what it would take to get her back on the big screen full-time. And it's a NSFW requirement.

Speaking to Naomi Campbell on her YouTube series No Filter with Naomi, the actress said she would only make a permanent comeback on one condition.

"I would have to be f---ing a writer," joked a cheeky Paltrow, who is married to Emmy-nominated TV producer and writer Brad Falchuk. "But that's sort of it. If my husband writes something and wants me to do it, I'll do it. But right now — can never say never.

"I would like to go back on stage one day. I really love doing theatre — it's so exhilarating. It's really the actor's medium, right? It's like you're on stage, you're in control of your performance."

Falchuk has been a writer on hit TV shows such as American Horror Story, Scream Queens, Nip/Tuck and Glee. In fact, one of Paltrow's last roles, before she cut back on her TV and films projects, was in the musical comedy Glee, which Falchuk produced.

These days, the Oscar winner prefers to focus on her lifestyle brand Goop and her two children Apple, 16, and Moses, 14, who she shares with ex-husband, Coldplay rocker Chris Martin.

And after an honest look at her life and career, the actress — who has starred in hits such as The Talented Mr Ripley, Shallow Hal and Contagion — said she just did not have the passion for acting anymore.

"I think that when you hit the bullseye, when you're 26 years old and you're a metrics-driven person who, frankly, doesn't love acting that much as it turns out," Gwyneth explained last year on SiriusXM's Bruce Bozzi on 'Quarantined with Bruce'. "Part of the shine of acting wore off, you know, being in such intense public scrutiny, being a kid who's like living every breakup on every headline, like being criticised for everything you do, say and wear. And it's so transitory, you're always all over. It's hard to plant roots.

"Like I'm such a homebody, you know, me, I like to be with my old friends and cook and squeeze my kids. Like I don't want to be alone in a hotel room in Budapest for six weeks. So if you compound those things with the fact that, to be totally candid, I had a really rough boss for most of my movie career at Miramax... Like, so you take all those things, you're like, 'I don't know if this is really my calling.'"
