The animals were reportedly removed from Spears' home, which caused her to get into an argument with her housekeeper.https://www.instagram.com/p/CPUSG0SBa4K/
The employee called the Ventura County Sheriff's department to the residence before going to the police station to file a report about the alleged incident.
According to People, a source says Spears was "reunited with her dogs before the weekend" and is "thrilled."
"Her dogs are a sensitive breed that often has health issues. She has gotten clear instructions about how to care for the dogs now," the source added, noting the "housekeeper no longer works for her."
A different insider told the publication: "The dogs are back and they have more help now."

Following the alleged incident, police attempted to get in touch with Spears, but she reportedly would not speak to them. In a statement, shared by People, the Ventura County Sheriff's department confirmed Spears is a suspect in a battery investigation after an employee reported she "struck them during a dispute" inside her home.
"Ultimately that investigation will be forwarded to the district attorney's office for review. It's a minor misdemeanour battery [investigation]," Captain Eric Buschow told the publication.
The 39-year-old singer has since released a statement via her lawyer in which she denied the allegations.
"This is nothing more than sensational tabloid fodder — an alleged misdemeanour involving a 'he said she said' regarding a cell phone, with no striking and obviously no injury whatsoever," read the statement, obtained by Fox News. "Anyone can make an accusation. This should have been closed immediately.
"The Sheriff's office itself has said the incident was classified as a 'very minor misdemeanour…' and said 'there were no injuries.'"
However, an official from the Sheriff's Department told TMZ the incident is still being investigated and the District Attorney's Office will decide whether to file a misdemeanour battery charge against Spears.
