Britney Spears' mother has expressed her concern in light of the singer's conservatorship hearing yesterday.

According to her lawyer Gladstone Jones, Lynne Spears is reportedly a "very concerned mother" after hearing Britney talk freely and in-depth about the "abuse" she says she has endured while under the court-appointed conservatorship. On behalf of Lynne, Jones then asked the judge to listen to Britney's request to change her care plan, which has been in place since 2008.

The pop star spoke to the judge for 30 minutes during which she said the "conservatorship is doing me way more harm than good" and she would like to end it for good.

"I deserve to have a life," Britney told Los Angeles Superior Court Judge Brenda Penny at the hearing. "All I want is to own my money and for this to end and for my boyfriend to be able to drive me in his [expletive] car," Spears said. "I truly believe this conservatorship is abusive. I want my life back."

Lynne has previously had her daughter's back when it came to the conservatorship, which is controlled by her ex-husband and Britney's father Jamie Spears.
