Adam Levine's marriage to Behati Prinsloo made headlines this week after it was alleged he had a fling with an Instagram model.

Influencer Sumner Stroh came forward with claims he sent her numerous private messages amid their alleged year-long affair in 2021.

The Maroon 5 frontman denied her claims but did admit he "crossed the line" by sending her "flirtatious" messages.

A look back at Levine's dating history shows he has always had a weakness for models, but there is one pop star who made the cut. 

Here's who the rocker's dated over the years, from his relationship with high-school sweetheart Jane Herman to his marriage to model Behati Prinsloo.

Jane Herman

Jane Herman was Levine's high school sweetheart. The pair dated from 1997 to 2001 when the aspiring singer was just 18 years old, and it was Herman who was the inspiration behind Maroon 5's critically acclaimed 2002 debut album, Songs About Jane, which included hits like Harder to Breathe, This Love and She Will be Loved.

Herman went on to write for Vogue and now owns her own clothing label, The Only Jane. She is married to film director Marc Webb.

Rebecca Ginos

The singer met the cocktail waitress in 2007 on her 21st birthday and the pair hit it off immediately.  

That same year, he gave a rather detailed interview about their relationship on Howard Stern's radio program.

"We had sex the first night we met," he said in the interview, which Ginos attended by his side. "I think [she's] the hottest girl in the entire f--ing universe."

Their romance did not last one year.

Jessica Simpson

Jessica Simpson and Adam Levine are rumoured to have hooked up in 2006 after her marriage ended with singer Nick Lachey. 

At the time, Simpson and Levine reportedly spent the night together at famed LA hotel Chateau Marmont.

Their reps repeatedly said the two were "just friends", but Simpson was reportedly spotted the morning after being picked up at the hotel by her best friend CaCee Coob, while wearing the Maroon 5 singer's T-shirt.

Their alleged fling was short-lived and it was rumoured Levine broke up with the pop star via text message.

Angela Bellotte

Levine was linked to model and actress Angela Bellotte after they were seen holding hands in New York in 2009.

Weeks later, the loved-up pair were then spotted catching a flight from LA to New York together.

This was Levine's first serious relationship that played out in the public eye. However, the couple split within the year.

Anne Vyalitsyna

The rocker began dating Anne Vyalitsyna, now 36, after his band performed at the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue party in 2010.

The Russian model then when on to star in Maroon 5's music videos Misery and Never Gonna Leave This Bed.

"It seems like such a cliché – the singer dating a model. I don't date my girlfriend because she's a model. I date her because I love her," Levine gushed to Elle magazine at the time.

In 2011, Levine famously serenaded his girlfriend during the Victoria's Secret fashion show in New York. As she walked the runway in lingerie, the muso couldn't keep his hands off her as he sang his band's hit song, Moves Like Jagger.

However, their love story came to an end in April 2012, with Vyalitsyna releasing this statement to People: "Adam and I have decided to separate in an amicable and supportive manner," she wrote.

"We still love and respect each other as friends. I wish him all the best."

Behati Prinsloo

Despite Levine being reportedly "blindsided" by sudden split from Vyalitsyna, his heartbreak didn't last long because one month later he began dating another Victoria's Secret model, Behati Prinsloo.

The pair were spotted kissing in Hawaii in May 2012 while attending a friend's wedding. 

After a brief split in early 2013, Levine went on to propose to Prinsloo in July that year and they were married in 2014 in Los Cabos, Mexico.

The couple welcomed daughters Dusty Rose and Gio Grace in 2016 and 2018, and are due to welcome their third child in the coming months.

Nina Agdal

During his brief split in 2013 with Behati Prinsloo, Levine began a short-lived romance with model Nina Agdal – he was 33 and she was 21 at the time. 

That June, after one month of dating, they were seen holidaying in Mexico together. However, after they got back to LA, Levine reconciled with Prinsloo and proposed, a move that reportedly blindsided Agdal.

It was reported at the time that Agdal found out about the engagement after Levine sent her a text sharing the news.
