A Queensland woman who turned up to an emergency department with an unconscious infant has been charged with grievous bodily harm.

A Queensland woman who turned up to an emergency department with an unconscious infant has been charged with grievous bodily harm.

The 28-year-old and another woman arrived at the Sunshine Coast University Hospital with the three-week-old baby girl on March 22.

The infant was taken to the Queensland Children's Hospital, where she remains with life-threatening injuries.

The woman appeared in Maroochydore Magistrates Court on Saturday and was granted bail ahead of her next appearance on July 3.

Queensland police are continuing their investigations into the incident.

"Detectives are piecing together a timeline of events and are seeking the assistance from the public to help fully understand the circumstances of what happened," a police spokesperson said.
