The Queensland government has agreed to reinstate the border bubble, just after a number of regional NSW communities came out of lockdown.
There are still travel restrictions in place - people are only allowed to cross into Queensland for essential work, medical needs or school.

However, with "essential workers" being defined as anybody who cannot perform their duties from home, the Sunshine State has opened its borders to thousands.
Queensland Police Deputy Commissioner Steve Gollschewski reminded border community residents to play by the rules as the NSW border bubble re-opens.
He told Today there had already been a number of people turned away at the border.

"These are people coming for work purposes that are not vaccinated," he said.
"The reminder is there, if you want to come into Queensland to do your work, you have to be vaccinated, have at least one shot."
Queensland recorded no new cases of COVID-19 yesterday after five people tested positive to the virus on Saturday.
Deputy Premier Steven Miles said the announcement yesterday was "the best result we could have hoped for".
Chief Health Officer Dr Jeannette Young said that she can confirm that the virus at the centre of the current outbreak is linked to a group of three New South Wales men.
"We got confirmation that two of the three gentlemen who crossed the border from NSW into Queensland - and then one of them went and stayed with this family - have then tested positive," she said.
