A Victorian man has been jailed for 10 years for the "pointless" death of an innocent woman who walked in on a family dispute.
Travis Wills stabbed Raichele Galea, 44, six times at a Geelong unit in June 2017, causing her "unnecessary" and "pointless" death, Supreme Court Justice Paul Coghlan said on Wednesday.
Wills was angry with his mother and took offence to something Ms Galea said when he attacked.
"Raichele Galea has lost her life for no discernible reason. That is very serious," the judge said.
Wills was convicted by a jury of manslaughter and will serve a minimum term of seven years.
