As a result, the hospital has been busy trying to save those injured in the blazes.

But a letter received today "has really brightened our day", staff wrote on their Facebook page.

"Dear hurt koalas," the letter read.

"We hope you feel better soon. We are sorry that you got hurt. We love you!

"Love, Mrs Bell's First Grade. McKinley Elementary School, Marion, Ohio, USA."

Marion is a small town in the middle of Ohio.
