The 20-month old was killed in the driveway of a property in Corowa, about 60 kilometres west of Albury, at 5pm yesterday.

She couldn't be revived by emergency services after being hit by the Toyota Hilux.

The car's driver, a 74-year-old man, was arrested, and taken to hospital for mandatory testing, before being taken to Corowa Police Station to help police with inquiries.

Police say he has since been released, as investigations continue.

A crime scene has been set up, and a report will be prepared for the information of the Coroner.
