Taronga Zoo's usual crowds are being kept at home by the coronavirus – but now, you can bring the zoo and all its fabulous creatures into your home.

Using the internet's array of social media outlets, along with its own website, "Taronga TV" promises viewers a closer view of the animals than if you were standing outside the enclosure.

"The really exciting thing is we're bringing what's behind the scenes to everyone at home," Taronga Conservation Society CEO Cameron Kerr told 9News.

Live feeds are going up every day.

"Tiger cam, elephant cam, seal cam – running 24-7," Mr Kerr said.

But it's not just for the happy viewers that the show must go on.

"Training has got to continue, you can't stop working with your animals, feeding them, giving them the enrichment they need, so it's a busy place still," Mr Kerr said.
