Three men have been charged with multiple drug offences after police seized nearly $200,000 cash and an assortment of drugs in central Sydney.

Three men have been charged with multiple drug offences after police seized nearly $200,000 cash and an assortment of drugs in central Sydney.

Police set up a strike force last year to investigate the supply of illegal drugs including gamma-butyrolactone (GBL) and methylamphetamine (ice) across central Sydney.

Officers executed two search warrants yesterday at a unit in Surry Hills and a storage unit at Ultimo.

During searches police confiscated $197,890 in cash, approximately two litres of GBL, about 28 grams of MDMA, an amount of ice and illicit drug supply equipment.

Two men – aged 51 and 28 – were arrested at the unit and later charged with multiple drug supply charges.

A 21-year-old man was issued a court attendance notice for entering a drug premises.
