Homicide detectives have charged an 18-year-old man as part of their investigation into the fatal shooting of another teenager in Sydney's west last weekend.
Omar Elomar, 18, was shot on Cabramatta Avenue in Miller just after 11pm on Saturday.
Despite the efforts of paramedics, he died at the scene.
A post mortem examination conducted this week found he died from a gunshot wound to the chest.
Strike Force Cero detectives arrested an 18-year-old man at a home in Cartwright about 4pm yesterday.
A search warrant was executed at the home just after 8pm, where detectives seized various items relevant to the investigation.
The man was taken to Liverpool Police Station and charged with concealing a serious indictable offence.
Detectives are continuing to investigate in the local area and are speaking with Mr Elomar's family, friends and associates.
Mr Elomar, who was not known to police, is a relative of notorious ISIS terrorist Mohamed Elomar, who was killed fighting in Syria.
Investigators are appealing to the community for any information that may be able to assist with their inquiries.
They are also seeking any dashcam vision from vehicles travelling in the area during the evening on Saturday and the early hours of Sunday.
The man was refused bail and is expected to appear at Liverpool Local Court today.
Police are urging anyone with information that may assist Strike Force Cero investigators to call Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
