A special edition of the Taste of the Ghan train experience has been launched in Adelaide, now giving enthusiasts the opportunity to enjoy the Clare Valley.
The luxurious train trip usually takes travellers on a deluxe trip from Adelaide up to the Darwin in the Northern Territory, but due to COVID-19 border restrictions, the journey has been remodelled.
The Taste of the Ghan carriages that were sitting idle have now filled with passengers ready to see the Clare Valley at its best.

A sit down breakfast on the way up, followed by a stop at Nantawarra, before a wine tasting and lunch in Clare Valley - The Ghan experience, in one day.

Last year, before the pandemic, Clare Valley Tourism forecasted the annual tourism spend to hit $132 Million by 2025.

"Great wine, great scenery, and the best way to travel and I think everything combines into a really fantastic product," passenger Nick Ryan said.
"I think we've just seen over the last 12-18 months that people actually remembering that the Clare is still there."
