People from Greater Sydney will be allowed to travel to South Australia without quarantining from Sunday morning.

"The decision has been taken that subject to no further cases coming to our attention prior to one minute past midnight on Sunday, we will be changing the restrictions for NSW," SA Police Commissioner Grant Stephens announced today.

Anyone arriving in the state from the area will be required to undergo a coronavirus test on day one, five, and 12.

These changes will come into effect providing there are no mystery cases of community transmission in Greater Sydney in the coming days.

Any NSW residents undergoing quarantine in South Australia will also be released on Sunday.

There are also no restrictions on South Australians travelling anywhere else in the country.

There have been no cases of coronavirus detected in the state, including in hotel quarantine, for a week, and there are no active cases.
