A school in Sydney’s east has been closed due to a probable case of COVID-19.

A school in Sydney's east has been closed due to a probable case of COVID-19.

Rose Bay Public School will be "non-operational for on-site learning" until further notice after the NSW Department of Education confirmed the news.

NSW Health is investigating the case and students will resume home learning until the school is safe to reopen.

"The safety and wellbeing of our staff and students is of paramount importance, as a precaution the school will be non-operational while we await confirmation from NSW Health," the school said in a statement.
