Victoria Police have released images of two men who allegedly broke into an elderly woman's home and threatened to kill her if she didn't hand over her belongings.

Investigators say the two men broke into a property on Furneaux Grove, Bulleen at about 5am on December 30.

The men allegedly ransacked several rooms before entering the 81-year-old's bedroom and waking her.

The woman said the pair threatened to kill her if she didn't hand over her cash and jewellery, but she refused to give them anything.

The men escaped, but not before stealing the woman's handbag and purse.

Police said the woman's credit cards were used at service stations in Roxborough park, Coolaroo, Broadmeadows and Campbellfield to buy cigarettes and gift cards.

They said the two men used a wig to disguise themselves and were travelling in a car that appears to be a silver Mercedes Benz SLK350.

Anyone who recognises the men shown in the CCTV or has any information on the crimes is urged to contact CrimeStoppers on 1800 333 000.
