The state government is lifting the current limit to 50 per cent capacity, meaning one person per two square metres in public premises.

Businesses will be able to accept more customers without turning people away to comply with current restrictions.

Restaurants are struggling with COVID-19 panic

Gyms and exercise studios across South Australia will also be allowed to let more people back into facilities with group class numbers being increased.

A return to normality will also be welcomed by footy fans with news Adelaide Oval will allow crowds of 25,000 to attend live games from Monday.

While South Australians welcome the easing of restrictions, the state government will reassess the threat of allowing visitors from other states and territories after the recent spike in COVID-19 cases across Victoria.

Activities and businesses that will return to normal from Monday include:

Being allowed to eat in public food courts

Gaming rooms in pubs and licensed premises

Cafes and restaurants

Indoor sports facilities

Nightclubs and music festivals

Casinos

Spas, saunas and bathing facilities

Indoor play centres, amusement parks and gaming arcades

While borders reopening will be reassessed after Friday's national cabinet meeting, travellers entering South Australia directly from West Australia, Northern Territory, Queensland or Tasmania are not required to quarantine for 14 days.

From July 20, subject to public health risk assessment, travellers entering directly from New South Wales, the Australian Capital Territory or Victoria will also be allowed to enter South Australia without the 14 day quarantine.
