A popular protein snack sold at major supermarkets has been recalled due to possible contamination in one of the flavours.

A popular protein snack sold at major supermarkets has been recalled due to possible contamination in one of the flavours.

Food Standards Australia and New Zealand say the Bounce Protein Ball Cashew Caramel flavour in the 40g size could contain traces of plastic in the batch with expiry date July 21, 2021.

The item is sold at national Coles and Woolworths stores, independent food retailers including IGA, 7-Eleven, Caltex, BP, EG Fuels, United Fuel nationally, On the Run in South Australia, as well as pharmacies and online retail outlets across the country.

Anyone who purchased the cashew caramel flavour with the July 21, 2021 expiry is urged to return the item to the place of purchase for a full refund.
