Three are in hotel quarantine and the other is linked to a known cluster.

There have been just four new cases of coronavirus recorded in the past 24 hours.

Three of these are in hotel quarantine, Dr Christine Selvey from NSW Health said.

The other one is locally acquired and is a close contact of a previous case linked to the Eastern Suburbs Legion club in Waverley.

The person was in self-isolation while infectious, Dr Selvey said.

NSW Premier Gladys Berejiklian today called on other states to take on some of the burden of caring for returned travellers in hotel quarantine.

"I would love to see the other states take their fair share," Ms Berejiklian said today.

"We're doing so much more than all the other states combined."

"I just say to other states, please ease the burden… please accept to raise your limits."

She said NSW is receiving an average of 350 people a day, which is equal to about 2500 a week.

More than 53,000 returned travellers have been through the hotel quarantine system in the state, she added.
