The brother of a man killed south-east of Melbourne says the father-of-two was the "greatest person to ever walk this planet".
Luke Price, 34, died after he was allegedly struck by a Holden Colorado, just after midnight at Yannathan yesterday.
Speaking to reporters outside court, Beau Price expressed his devastation for his brother's death.
"My life was destroyed in a second … he was my best friend," he said.
"He was the most amazing bloke, biggest gentlemen you will ever meet.
"He was a beautiful father and loved his kids more than anything."
Bradley McStay, 33, fronted the Melbourne Magistrates' Court charged with Mr Price's murder.
9News understands a warrant was in place for Mr Price's arrest the day before his death, after he allegedly breached parole.
He had also recently been released from prison.
Beau Price said his brother was "doing good" and had a big heart.
"He adored his kids, adored us … he was everything to us," he said.
"He had his life on track."
Mr McStay was remanded in custody to appear at a committal mention hearing on June 17.
