A self-confessed country girl from Drouin in regional Victoria said her heart was pounding after she won $20 million in last night’s Oz Lotto draw.

A "country girl" about to be released from Victoria's lockdown is sticking to her roots as she celebrates winning a life-changing $20 million with a casual pub meal.

The woman from Gippsland found out this morning that she'd be taking home the whole division one prize this morning after hers were the only winning numbers to be pulled in last night's Oz Lotto draw.

The lucky winner not only took home the division one prize, but also scored the division three seven times, bolstering her prize by almost $30,000.

"My heart is pounding," she told The Lott.

The humble winner said the money couldn't have come at a better time, with plans to head straight to the local pub with her family to celebrate as coronavirus restrictions ease in regional Victoria tonight.

"I'm looking forward to a meal at the pub to celebrate," she said.

"I'll share it with my family. They are about to become a very lucky bunch."

The winning ticket was purchased from Drouin Lotto and Cards, where owner Raj Joshi was thrilled to discover his outlet had sold its first division one winning entry.

"I can't believe it. It's just come right out of the blue," Mr Joshi said.

"Congratulations to our winner, we wish them a great future and hope it will fulfil their dreams."

The winning numbers in Oz Lotto draw 1387 on Tuesday 16 September 2020 were 18, 44, 31, 41, 2, 10 and 36. The supplementary numbers were 5 and 23.
