She was also driving on a licence which had expired in 2015.

Meikle today pleaded guilty to drink driving, saying she was taking her daughter to the river after a night on the booze, and finishing a bottle of wine that morning.

The court was told she suffered from post-natal depression and "fell off the wagon".

She was "extremely shamed and embarrassed" by the incident.

Meikle was handed a nine-month community order, banned from driving for a year, and fined $300.
