Police are desperately searching for a mother and her two-and-a-half-year-old daughter who went missing from a Queensland home almost 24 hours ago.

Police are desperately searching for a mother and her two-and-a-half-year-old daughter who went missing from a Queensland home almost 24 hours ago.

Toowoomba police have asked the public for urgent help to find 40-year-old Angela Pearce and her child who were last seen at a Crows Nest home around 11.30am yesterday.

Police say they hold concern for the safety and wellbeing of the pair.

The little girl is described as Asian in appearance, with curly brown hair and brown eyes. She was last seen wearing a grey and pink winter onesie with a zippered front.

Her mother, Ms Pearce, is Taiwanese, with long black hair, brown eyes and of a slim build. She was wearing a black long-sleeved shirt with white writing on the front, black tights, with a pink scrunchie in her hair.

Anyone with information in relation to their whereabouts is urged to contact police immediately.
