A Queensland man missing for two days has been found alive and winched to safety after being found at the bottom of a cliff near his home.

A Queensland man missing for two days has been found alive and winched to safety after being found at the bottom of a cliff near his home.

Vincent Heuston, 66, was found 100 metres down an embankment just after 10am today, close to his Tamborine Mountain home.

He was winched to safety this afternoon and taken to Gold Coast University Hospital in a stable condition.

A Queensland Ambulance spokeswoman said he had pelvic pain and exposure to the elements.

Mr Heuston was reported missing on Wednesday afternoon.

The successful mission was a joint emergency services operation, with assistance from Queensland Police, Queensland Ambulance, Queensland Fire and Emergency and the Queensland Rescue Helicopter.
