A South Australian father who shot dead his son and his son’s girlfriend has pleaded to receive the maximum sentencing discount.
A South Australian father who shot dead his son and his son's girlfriend has pleaded to receive the maximum sentencing discount.
Pawel Klosowski has admitted murdering teenagers Lukasz Klosowski and Chelsea Ireland on his remote Mt McIntyre property in the state's south-east in August.
Under state law Klosowski, 46, is entitled to a discount of up to 40 per cent for his guilty pleas.
"There'll be an application – there's a lot of work to be done yet," his lawyer Nick Vadasz told reporters outside court.
But prosecutors say Klosowski doesn't deserve leniency and a recent judgement relating to a child sex predator will "loom large".

Hamzeh Bahrami had his sentence increased after the Court of Criminal Appeal found Bahrami should not have received the maximum discount.
Bahrami, who attacked a girl in a Blair Athol toilet block, will now spend at least five years behind bars, instead of three years.
Discount laws are now capped at 25 per cent, but Klosowski is eligible for 40 per cent because his pleas were entered before the reforms took effect.
The families of Lukasz and Chelsea, both 19, packed the courtroom, came face to face with Klosowski in court for the first time.
The killer, wearing a suit and with a shaved head, refused to look at the young couple's devastated loved ones.
They'll face Klosowski again in March, when numerous victim impact statements are expected to be heard.
