A husband and wife and their two grandsons were swept off the rocks at Stanwell Park, south of Sydney.
An elderly woman has been rescued from the water at Stanwell Park, south of Sydney, after she was swept off the rocks with her husband and their two grandchildren.
The grandfather and two children were able to get out of the ocean, but the grandmother could not as she was injured.
Her husband jumped back into the water and helped keep his wife afloat while paramedics made their way to help.

"I closed my eyes and I could feel myself backflipping, for some reason," 10-year-old Will said.
"It was so scary," his brother added.
Paramedics took about half an hour to get down to the scene, so the grandmother had to be winched out of the water by a helicopter.
The grandmother, in her 70s, will be taken to Royal North Shore Hospital for treatment.
The grandfather and two grandsons suffered minor bumps and bruises but were able to walk from the scene.
