A man has been rushed to hospital after a tree collapsed on top of him causing him to go into cardiac arrest.

Just before 12.45pm today, NSW Ambulance responded to a call at Robertson following reports a tree had crushed a man.
Four crews were dispatched to the scene along with the specialist medical team.
Paramedics treated a 37-year-old man who had gone into cardiac arrest.
The man was transported to Liverpool Hospital in a critical condition
"When paramedics arrived they were faced with a complex scene, with a tree fallen onto the man who had gone into cardiac arrest," Duty Operations Manager of NSW Ambulance Gavin Wood said.
"We were faced with a number of challenges to try provide the best care for the patient.
"These situations are extremely demanding for emergency services, we did everything we could to provide the best possible outcome for the patient."
