A man has died following a suspected hit and run in Sydney’s CBD overnight.

A man has died following a suspected hit and run in Sydney's CBD overnight.

About 1.30am February 12, emergency services were called to Central Street in Sydney's CBD, after the body of a 21-year-old man was found.

Officers from Sydney City Police Area Command established a crime scene, with inquiries suggesting the man had been hit by a truck.

Police established a crime scene in the early hours of the morning with investigations suggesting he was hit by a truck.Police stopped a truck driver in Kings Cross and arrested the 51-year-old.

About 4.30am, police stopped a truck on Darlinghurst Road, Kings Cross and arrested the 52-year-old driver.

He was taken to Day Street Police Station where he is assisting police with their inquiries.

A crime scene remains in place and officers from the Crash Investigation Unit will attend to conduct a forensic examination.

A report will be prepared for the information of the Coroner.
