A man has died following a dispute with a neighbour in Sydney's west.

Emergency services responded reports of a physical altercation between two men in Jarra Crescent, Glenmore Park, about 10.20pm yesterday.

A 44-year-old man was treated by NSW Ambulance paramedics but died at the scene.

Officers from Nepean Police Area Command established a crime scene and commenced an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the incident.

A second 44-year-old man is assisting police with their inquiries.
