A police station in Melbourne's north has been evacuated after a car rammed into it this morning.
The four-wheel drive ploughed through the Reservoir station's roller door about 10.50am, where it came to a crashing stop on top of a police car, police have confirmed.
The station was evacuated and paramedics were called but no one was seriously injured.
The police car was unoccupied at the time of the crash.
The street was cordoned off and the male driver of the car was arrested.
A witness at the scene described seeing the Ford Ranger ram the station's roller door on Edward Street.
"I went to the ATM and heard a loud bang across the road," a witness named Danny told 3AW radio station.
He told police barricaded the area before arresting the man.
Ambulance Victoria have confirmed they were called to the scene just before 11am, where they treated one patient.
Road closures remain in place as police continue their investigations.
