Luxury watch worth more than $100k stolen by wig-wearing thief
1 min readA man is on the run after stealing a watch worth more than $100,000 during a Melbourne CBD jewellery store robbery.
Police said the man, who was wearing a woman's wig and black rubber gloves, walked into the shop on Collins Street about 10.40am on February 5 and threatened staff with a syringe.
He then smashed a glass display before he ran out with the watch and fled on a bicycle.
Officers are appealing for witnesses to the crime and have released images of a man, who has a distinctive tattoo on his left bicep.
