Police wish to speak to two men after a teenager was killed in a suspected hit-run near the Queensland town of Toowoomba last night.

Police wish to speak to two men after a teenager was killed in a suspected hit-run near the Queensland town of Toowoomba last night.

The 18-year-old local man was walking along the New England Highway in Geham around 8.50pm when he was struck by an unknown vehicle near the intersection with Reuschle Road.

A short time later, a motorist heading south on the highway discovered the man's body and called emergency services.

Investigators are calling for the driver of a heavy vehicle who stopped at the scene and spoke to other witnesses to come forward.

They are also seeking another man who enquired about the incident with staff at the Cabarlah Hotel.

The Forensic Crash Unit is investigating.
