A woman is missing after a fire tore through a home in Brisbane's north-east early this morning.
An Uber driver called emergency services after noticing flames coming from a house in Albion at around 3.30am.
Crews managed to bring the fire under control, but could not find the woman who lives in the house, 56-year-old Rosetta Murgia.
"We are actually looking for someone, we are not sure where that resident is so we are currently undertaking enquiries to see if we can actually find where that person is…we are a bit concerned at the moment," Inspector Adam Muir said.
An investigation is underway to work to determine the cause of the blaze.
Police have issued a missing persons alert for Ms Murgia, saying family and friends hold grave concerns for her safety.Anybody with information is urged to contact PoliceLink on 131 444.
