Convicted paedophile and former NSW Labor politician Milton Orkopoulos is "confused and nervous" as he finds himself back in police custody a month after his prison release, his lawyer says.

Orkopoulos has been granted strict conditional bail and is due to appear at Waverly Court later today.
The NSW State Parole Authority met today and decided to stand over revoking Orkopoulos' parole.
"The SPA held a private meeting this morning after a breach report was received from Community Corrections," it said in a statement.
Earlier, Orkopoulos' lawyer Omar Juweinat said he had spoken to his client, who was "confused" about the fresh charges with which he was hit.
"It sounds like it relates to, and I am yet to formally find out, his use of electronic devices and possible the use of an application called WhatsApp," he told AAP.
"As one could expect, (Orkopoulos) is really confused and nervous about the dilemma he is currently facing."
NSW Police told AAP that Orkopoulos' arrest today was not related to any alleged breach of parole conditions.
It has been just a month since Orkopoulos was released from Long Bay prison following an 11-year stint behind bars for child sex offences.
He was granted parole in December despite failing a 2019 prison drug test.
