Ikea has seen shelves stripped bare and tripled the amount of stocks in its stores.

Homeware sales during the coronavirus pandemic have skyrocketed as Australians spend more time in the house.

Ikea has seen shelves stripped bare and tripled the amount of stocks in its stores.

The Swedish furniture giant has been "busier than Christmas" and has a huge amount of staff working behind the scenes to refill stock.

"Some of the products are literally flying off the shelves so we're having to replenish super quickly every day," Ikea country operations fulfilment manager Adrian Pigeon told 9News.
