Boy hit by a car while riding scooter in western Sydney

The six-year-old has a fractured leg.

A boy has been rushed to hospital with a leg injury after a car hit him while he was riding his scooter.

The six-year-old was struck this morning in Blackett, near Mt Druitt in Sydney's west, and sustained multiple cuts and a fractured leg.

CareFlight's Rapid Response Helicopter was called at 10.23am, and landed in Popondetta Park 10 minutes later.

The aeromedical team were taken to the scene where paramedics were already treating the child.

The boy was taken to Westmead Children's Hospital by road, where he is in a stable condition.
