Victorian Premier Daniel Andrews warned Victorians to "do the right thing" as authorities braced for crowds set to enjoy the forecasted warm weather this weekend.

Mr Andrews admitted he was "disappointed" to see so much sunshine on the forecast amid fears people will ignore the stage four restrictions to flock to beaches as the temperature rises.

Police and ADF personnel will be out in force to crack down on public and private gatherings and to ensure social distancing regulations are adhered to.

Drones will be deployed to help monitor the Victorian coastline from the sky and identify large groups and those breaking restrictions.

Regular patrols will ensure stage four restrictions are maintained and scenes similar to those seen on Bondi Beach back in March are not seen repeated during Victoria's second wave.

NSW Health also issued a reminder to Sydney-siders, encouraging people to "stay COVID-safe" if they plan to go out.
